The Coniston 14 is probably the most beautiful road race in
Britain. Each year it attracts some 1600 runners and has a reputation for being
one of the best organised small races in the country. The Race is organised by
an enthusiastic committee of volunteers from Coniston village.
The Blackpool Marathon was first run in 2004. It has become
a popular and permanent annual fixture in the running calendar. The race is often described as a flat and
fast coastal marathon. The course takes runners along the Blackpool seafront
past the many sights, including Golden Mile, St Annes and Lytham. It is very
popular with runners looking to achieve a PB.
We will be joining RunThrough at Darwen Leisure Centre for a
sprint triathlon with a fantastic pool swim and scenic bike and run through the
market town and surrounding moorland.
